Don't worry guys.If you have received a mail saying that your GC is posted and if it is more than 30 days you can contact the customer service and create a service request.
You will get your card within 30 days.
If it was sent to a different address it would be returned to USCIS and you will be getting a mail saying that your GC was returned.
For this case also you have to create a service request and you will get your card within 30 days.

My wife is on H1-B valid till May-2010 and she got EAD for 2 years as well.
She is planning to take up permanent job at the client place she is currently working as a consultant.
What is the best? tranfering the H1-B or using EAD. Does she need to invok e AC-21 in bothe the cases?

Hi,
My wife, who is the primary green card applicant is planning to change job from desi consulting company to a fortune 500 company. The fortune 500 company wants to invoke AC21 as 180 days have passed from received date and I140 is approved.
Please let me know if someone has similar experience with the following:
1. Is there any salary restriction on increase from current salary percentage wise?
2. Has anyone used sucessfully AC21 in the past and had no issues with EAD renewals and Green card?

ans 1. it is a fairly gray area. ofcourse salary increase is part of every development and change but if it over the board i.e 50% increase in salary then it might raise a flag (I have read this here in the forum) anything between 20 to 30% is acceptable.

Hi,
Recently I transfered my H1 B from X company to Y company & now I am going for my visa renewal. My previous employer is not providing me the experience letter. Though I am having all my paystubs, appointment letter etc. I think I need the experience letter also...So what should I do now. Please suggest me.

I thought this rule changed couple of years back. H4 time is not considered towards H1B anymore and generally the spouses who were on h4 became eligible for full 6 years of H1B. Isn't this right? Sorry for testing your patience with too many questions. Generally I am a cool head but I guess I have been way overcool on this issue.
H4 and H1 times have been decoupled. I believe you could change to H4 even after six years on H1. Check with your lawyer.
So, if you do not want to change to F1, your strategy could be a combination of the following:
start your GC process now, change to H4 if your H1 expires before your I-140 is approved, apply for premium processing of I-140, apply for three year H1 extension after your 140 is approved.

Not just my opinion ...but also that of IV board member: Greg Siskind.
The good part is as democratic party losses seats....the CIR lobby weakens and piecemeal will have better chance.
(1) Would CHC will vote yes on health care without any coverage for illegal and since CIR may not happen
(2) If CIR fails why would CHC supports us in piecemeal..
to me if no CIR then no piecemeal..

I advise not to do like this guy is saying. My suggesstion is if it is really not possible for you to get the letter, just send last 6 months of bank statements. And let your parent tell VO that your bank gives letter in person & you live far away from that bank. Majority cases, they will not even ask for any bank letters or statements. My suggesstion is to send both Indiana bank and HSBC bank statements for last 6 months. That will be good.
I agree. 6 months bank statement along with 3 years of W2 are more than sufficient to prove your financial ablity to support your parents.

Not claiming to make some new discovery here... merely stating that it kinda makes sense now.
