Can you all tell which state you applied from?
As per the bispecialization phase III of USCIS, I-485 applicants from eastern and southern states are processed at SRC (TX) while western and northern at LIN (NE).
Let's verify whether this stands true...those who got their receipts can verify.

Attorney received all our Receipt Notices today from CSC. Our packet was reached NSC on 7/27. NSC sent the packet to CSC. CSC transferred our I-485 back to NSC on 9/26 as my I-140 was approved from NSC.

I sent an email saying that - for Employment Based immigrations the employers are not willing to given the required document like employment letter, as they fear the employee may leave using AC21 after 6 months. This puts the applicant helpless after waiting for so may years and when the dates are current. Can USCIS do something about this? The only thing what most applicants have paystubs to prove the continuous employment.
It will make a different if USCIS receives emails like this... in thousands?

Hello, one of my friend had recently filed for H1B and needs guidance
Current Status : H1B expired, applied for renewal, converted to Premium processing to be able to renew drivers licence. He got an RFE asking tons of details about the company. The company responded, and was told by the lawyer that he is stuck in background check. He tried to contact a senators office to get the status and was informed by the senators office that USCIS intends to send him an denial notice and the case is with the clerical staff to send the denial, he would hear shortly from his lawyer.
His I-94 has already expired, he has a 140 approved recently and has not yet filed 485.
What are the immediate steps he needs to take to maintain his status in the country.
Any guidance will be highly appreciated.

I have only seen one person get through background check in the last year. That was through senator intervention. Person got approved (it was a premium processing case). companies generally do not want to go throgh senator/congressmen intervention due to fear of tweaking uscis.
Since his 140 is approved then he is not subject to the quota. However; he could just wait or file another h-1b with another comany. If he asks for I-94 card then uscis could ask for maintaining status. He is in what is considered a "bridge period". that is when I-94 card expires; you are legally here but if you fle an h-1b with another company then they shouldn't approve the second h-1b until the first one is approved (uscis doesn't always do this). Sometimes they approve the second one. However; if the first one gets denied then you wuld not be considered in "status" from date I-94 card expired until second companies h-1b got approved with I-94 card (would have greencard implications later).
He could just file an h-1b with another company in premium (do not ask for I-94 card). If/when uscis approves it then he would have to go for visa stamping and get I-94 card at the border.

Is this rally still on? On 14th? Then please update the first post on this thread which still says July 7th - it is confusing.
Also, considering that there are only 4 more days to the rally if it is on 14th, we need considerably more publicity in the media and on blogs on this.
This rally will be a watershed event because as far as I know, this would be the first of its kind by skilled, legal immigrants and it should get the media attention that it deserves.

Applied July 11th reached 12th NSC. I-140 approved from Texas, 08/12/2007 LUD on I-140. No receipts yet. No idea checks have been cashed or not (attorneys checks)

Problem with that argument once you own more than 5% of the company you will have file as investor. If your wife owns the company then you will have file under relative category. There were denials based on this.

This event cannot run based on MLM or false promises.
It can be successful only if every member understands their contribution and participation is key for this event and they are the one who can solve their immigration issue by taking this event seriously.

The mindset is incepted deep inside and it is extremely difficult to change.

I heard all sorts of things, some say "You cheated", some say "Never knew you were Eb2", some say, "Are you sure?, have you got the cards yet?, Did you finish biometrics?" Some eb3 folks said "We will get ours too, some issue with finger prints , my husband's boss is very close to the congressman and we have influence in INS", some say "Your lawyer did some magic" etc.....
People carry such mindsets, it is difficult to bring about awareness and change.
